Dog the Bounty Hunter: The Dog is Back

"You can run, but you can't hide" will be heard again.

On TV.

The Dog is Back.

A & E is bringing back the Dog.

An A&E official has told website TMZ that his show "Dog the Bounty Hunter" is going back into production.

Beth Chapman has confirmed it to KHNL this morning.
A network official confirms to TMZ that the show is going back into production, but they've not yet set a premiere date. As of now, they're gearing up -- big time -- in Hawaii and production will begin ASAP. Makeup artists and camera crews have been hired, and houses and cars have been rented, all for the return of the show.

A&E had suspended production of the "Dog the Bounty Hunter" indefinitely last fall after a recording surfaced that featured Chapman making racial slurs during a private cellphone conversation with his son.

His son, Tucker, later sold the tape to the National Enquirer for a reported $15000 payment.
Chapman immediately began a tour of forgiveness, working with CORE and other groups to promote racial equality. We're told network execs were "very pleased" with Dog's attempt to make amends and his reaching out to members of the African American community.

A&E isn't just making this decision out of the goodness of their hearts either. The show was insanely popular for the network, here and internationally -- airing in over 20 countries.

Fans of the Dog can now at least get ready to celebrate the show's return.
From Fox:
The National Enquirer posted an audio clip of Chapman using a slur repeatedly in reference to his son's black girlfriend.

Chapman apologized and vowed never to utter the word again. He has met with several black leaders over the past several months.
