Suggestion for a New Great Seal of Obama

The Barack Obama campaign might consider a new cheer for getting attendees at their political rallies warmed up, before BHO himself appears.

Gimme an "M"!
Gimme an "E"!
Gimme an "G"!
A-L-O-M-A-N-I-A-C!

What's that spell?

MEGALOMANIAC!

Okay, so it's not Shakespeare, but it will have to do--at least until the campaign disposes of its Great Seal of Obama. The ObamaSeal was unveiled during a meeting of Democrat Governors in Chicago on Friday June 20 2008.

The seal was similar to the U.S. presidential seal--with some important Obama-centric differences.
A new seal debuted on Obama's podium Friday, sporting iconography used in the U.S. presidential seal, the blue background, the eagle clutching arrows on left and olive branch on right, but with symbolic differences. Instead of the Latin 'E pluribus unum' (Out of many, one), Obama's says 'Vero possumus', rough Latin for 'Yes, we can.' Instead of 'Seal of the President of the United States', Obama's Web site address is listed. And instead of a shield, Obama's eagle wears his 'O' campaign logo with a rising sun representing hope ahead.

The seal is another attempt to lend a bit of gravity to a man whose resume's most impressive credential is "makes girls faint"--and even that particular has disappeared, after the junior senator from Illinois' campaign was accused of staging the fainting stunts.

The rising sun represents "hope ahead"?

His campaign better hope Obama ditches this seal before too many voters see it.

Obama would have his followers believe that this is a different campaign: one that's all about hope, change and helping. And they may have convinced our own RidesAPaleHorse, who has generously offered his help in re-designing the Obama seal.

Which leads us to another cheer Obama might consider--his "common man" rhetoric notwithstanding.

"We're for Obama,
Haven't you heard?
We say 'Pompous',
'Pompous's the word!"
